Moto X40 is officially confirmed to launch on December 15

Today, Motorola revealed that the Moto X40 will be released on December 15. The official announcement didn’t contain any more information, but it can also be seen that this announcement was made using the Moto X40.

It is worth mentioning that the phone was also listed on the AnTuTu benchmark with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset in previous days and has scored more than 1.3 million points.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is based on a 4nm TSMC manufacturing process and comes with a new core architecture that includes a single Cortex-X3 Super Core, two Cortex-A715, two Cortex-A710 Performance cores, and three Cortex-A510 Energy-efficient cores. The GPU is Adreno 740.

Previously, the Moto X40 was also listed on TENAA certification, revealing that the device has the following dimensions: 161.3×73.9×8.5 mm and weighs 196g. It features a 6.67-inch OLED display, which has a Full-HD+ (2400x1080p) resolution and supports 10-bit color depth.

There is a triple camera (50MP+50MP+12MP) setup on the back that also supports 4x optical zoom. The phone is expected to have two different battery versions, one with a 4950mAh battery and the second with a 4450mAh battery, while the charging speed is unknown.

Other features like under-screen fingerprint sensor and face unlock support are also available. In addition, the device will be IP68 certified for water and dust resistance, according to officials.
