For a long time now, we’ve been reporting that Motorola is working on a new Edge 20 series. Furthermore, there would be two models: Standard and Pro versions. Both models have already been listed on various certification sites, along with their specifications and renders.
This morning, Motorola officially announced that it will hold a launch event on August 5, which is expected to be a product launch event, and Motorola is very likely to launch the Moto Edge 20 series.
In the official launch post, the company used the words “cutting-edge” and “one hundred million.” The word cutting-edge might denote the edge display of the Motorola Edge 20 series while the one hundred million is pointing to the 100MP main lens. It was revealed previously that both models have a 108MP rear camera setup.
According to past information, both the Moto Edge 20 series feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a single punch hole and Full-HD+ resolution. The dimensions and size would be the same in the standard and pro versions.
The only difference between the two models is the hardware. The upcoming Moto Edge 20 will feature the Snapdragon 778G, while the Edge 20 Pro features the Snapdragon 870 sub-flagship chipset.
The Moto Edge 20 features a 3760mAh battery with 30W fast charging support, while the Edge 20 Pro features a 4230mAh Battery with 33W fast charging support. In addition, both models will feature a side fingerprint scanner.
