Motorola Nio 5G gets FCC certification with a 5000mAh battery and 20W charger

Today, a new Motorola phone has been spotted on FCC certification. The device has a model number XT2125-4. The model has already received other certifications, and it has also been revealed that the phone will be named Motorola Nio.

Like always, the FCC certification has revealed the charging specifications. The device uses a battery with model number LZ50, which is a 5000mAh battery already used in the Moto G 5G Plus.

The phone uses a charger with the model number MC-20X. According to previous reports, the charger is a 20W charger that charges the phone at 10V/2A and 12V/1.67A. The charger also supports a 15W charging mode (5V/ 3A).

The phone is also equipped with a USB Type-C port, as it uses a USB Type-A to Type-C cable. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone supports 5G networks, which may be limited to some regions. It also supports Bluetooth v5.1.

As previously reported, the Motorola Nio will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865. The chipset is based on a 7nm manufacturing process and uses a Cortex-A78 core with a maximum clock frequency of 2.84GHz.

It was also reported that this model would be equipped with a 6.7-inch display with 2520×1080 resolution, which further supports a 105Hz refresh rate.

The Motorola Nio is expected to have a 64MP primary camera on the back, which is an OmniVision OV64B sensor. Besides, there would be a 16MP ultra-wide angle lens (OV16A10) and a 2MP depth sensor. The front-facing camera will have an 8MP main module (Samsung S5K4H7) and a 16MP ultra-wide shooter (OV16A1Q).

It is expected that the Motorola Nio will be launched in the first quarter of 2021.
