Earlier this year, MediaTek unveiled two new chipsets: the Dimensity 1100 and Dimensity 1200. The performance of both SoCs wasn’t too excellent when compared with the Snapdragon 888 series chipset. But now, new leaks suggest that MediaTek is working on a product that can beat all chipsets.
This afternoon, the famous Chinese blogger Digital Chat Station revealed a significant development. According to the blogger, a new Vivo device with model number V2184 has been listed on AnTuTu Benchmark. The device is equipped with a MediaTek MT6983 SoC.
Surprisingly, the chipset has broken all the previous records and scored over a million points (1002220 points). The blogger said this would be the MediaTek Dimensity 2000 chipset.
It is worth mentioning that the image stated that the scores are abnormal, so there are still chances that the actual retail machine’s score would be lower.
The V2184 may belong to a mysterious smartphone series of the company, as no flagship device is expected to feature this chipset yet. Two months ago, the company launched its Vivo X70 series.
At present, the Red Magic 6 is the highest scoring device on AnTuTu, which is powered by the Snapdragon 888 chipset and scores around 850,000 points.
