Ming-Chi Kuo: New 13.3/14/16-inch MacBook Pro will be equipped with Apple Silicon

This morning, the famous Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo updated his report on the new MacBook.

In the report, Ming-Chi Kuo predicted that MacBook shipments in 2020 are expected to increase to 16–17 million units, while MacBook shipments in 2021 are expected to increase to 18–20 million units.

Ming-Chi Kuo predicted that new MacBook models in the future will include the 13.3-inch MacBook Pro with Apple Silicon (to be mass-produced in 2020 Q4), MacBook Air (to be mass-produced in 2020 Q4 or 2021 Q1) with Apple Silicon, and the new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro with Apple Silicon (to be mass-produced at the end of 2021 Q1 or 2021 Q3).

In an optimistic situation, if Apple reduces the price of the MacBook Air with Apple silicon, it shows that its cost has been reduced, and if the demand for the new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro is better than the old MacBook Pro, we expect that the MacBook shipment in 2021 will increase significantly, reaching 18-20 million units.
