Huawei Nova 8 Pro 4G launched with Kirin 985, 120Hz screen, and 66W charging

Yesterday, Huawei had released the Mate X2 4G. The phone was launched with almost the exact specifications; even the chipset (Kirin 9000) was the same, but the phone’s chipset was 5G disabled.

Today, Huawei has released the 4G version for its other devices. This time, the phone is the Nova 8 Pro, which was launched in December 2020 with 5G support. Huawei has listed the new device on the company’s official website.

There is no difference between the 5G and 4G versions. Both devices also have the same chipset, but the 4G version uses the Kirin 985, which doesn’t support 5G connectivity, while the Kirin 985 5G supports 5G.

The Nova 8 Pro uses a 6.72-inch OLED display with a dual punch hole at the top left. The screen frame curvature has also reached 80 degrees. The display also supports a 120Hz refresh rate and 300Hz touch sampling rate.

The display is also packed with 2676×1236 resolution and supports 1.07 billion colors, with a DCI-P3 wide color gamut. The phone measures about 163.3×74.1×7.9mm and weighs around 184g.

The phone is equipped with a dual-lens (32MP ultra-wide-angle video lens + 16MP lens). On the rear, a quad camera setup (64MP primary camera + 8MP super wide-angle + 2MP + 2MP) has been used, supporting handheld super night scene and front and rear dual scene video 2.0.

This phone has a built-in 4000mAh battery. It supports 66W fast charging, charging the phone up to 60% in only 15 minutes and 100% in 35 minutes.

The Nova 8 Pro 4G is currently only listed on the official website. The prices and storage variants are unannounced.
