A few months ago, Nubia launched its Red Magic 5S with Snapdragon 865. The phone was not equipped with the latest Snapdragon chipset at that time. Nubia is now working on the successor to Red Magic 5S, which will be launched with the latest Snapdragon 888 5G chipset.
Today, the President of ZTE (Ni Fei) officially confirmed that the Nubia Red Magic 6 is also on its way. The CEO has confirmed the existence of the smartphone by posting its charging specifications.
As mentioned, the Nubia Red Magic 6 will have a 4500mAh battery and support 120W super flash charging. The charger is called the Gallium Nitride fast charger. The battery may be fully charged in 15 minutes, as other smartphone manufacturers have also provided this feature.
It is confirmed that the Red Magic 6 will feature a Snapdragon 888 5G Chipset. When the Snapdragon 888 5G was launched in December 2020, Qualcomm also announced the list of manufacturers developing Snapdragon 888 smartphones.
Nubia was also mentioned in that list. The Snapdragon 888 5G is an octa-core chipset based on a 5nm manufacturing process. It comes with a 2.84GHz Cortex-X1 core.
The President didn’t reveal the launch date, but it is expected that this phone will be launched next month. The upcoming Black Shark 4 will compete with this smartphone.
