OnePlus 9 series will feature a Sony IMX766 ultra-wide lens

OnePlus has announced that they will launch the new OnePlus 9 series on March 24. As the launch time approaches, the officials have revealed the main highlight of the phone.

OnePlus recently confirmed that the OnePlus 9 will feature Sony’s IMX766 lens, a 50MP ultra-wide lens. It also features a free-form curved surface lens and 5000W pixels for ultra-clear wide-angle images.

As per previous info, the upcoming OnePlus 9 series will feature a Fluid AMOLED display packed with QHD+ resolution (in the OnePlus 9 Pro) and Full-HD+ resolution (in the OnePlus 9). Both versions will feature a 120Hz refresh rate.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 is confirmed to be featured on the OnePlus 9 series. It features the Cortex-X1 super core to take the performance to the next level.

Some leaks also suggest that the OnePlus 9 Pro will feature a quad-camera setup on the back, including a 48-megapixel Sony IMX789 primary camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide angle Sony IMX766 sensor, an 8-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The OnePlus 9 will lack the 8-megapixel telephoto lens.

Both phones are expected to have a 4500mAh battery and support 65W fast charging. They are also reported to come with a charger out of the box.
