Today, OPPO has quietly launched a new phone in its famous A-Series. The smartphone is named OPPO A55 5G, which seems to be the successor of OPPO A53.

The OPPO A55 is equipped with a 6.5-inch LCD display. The display has a V-shaped notch and comes with the following specifications: HD+ resolution (1600x720p), 60Hz refresh rate with 60Hz touch sampling rate, 269 PPI Pixel density, 480 nits brightness, 1500:1 contrast ratio, and an 88.7% screen-to-body ratio.
Dimensions & Weight:
The phone measures 163.9 x 75.7 x 8.4 mm and weighs about 186g.
Chipset & Battery:
The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G chip, an octa-core chipset based on a 7nm manufacturing process. The chipset has a maximum clock speed of 2.2 GHz and uses the Mail-G57 MC2 GPU. It also comes with a 5000mAh battery that supports up to 10W charging.
Camera:
The OPPO A55 has a triple camera setup (13+2+2MP). The primary 13MP lens is a wide lens with an aperture of f/2.2. The second lens is a 2MP macro lens with an aperture of f/2.4. The third one is a 2MP depth lens with an aperture of f/2.4. On the front, there is a single 8MP lens with an aperture of f/2.0.

The phone is available in only one storage variant: 6+128GB, priced at CNY 1499 ($231). It is available in two different colors: Brisk Blue and Rhythm Black.

The phone has a Type-C port for charging purposes, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a side fingerprint scanner.
