Recently, the famous blogger Digital Chat Station leaked something significant about the upcoming progress of the Oppo brand. The blogger revealed a new Oppo phone, the Oppo A72 5G. The phone just got leaked for the first time. Before this, there was no name for the device.
Based on the phone’s specs, it appears to be an entry-level to mid-range 5G smartphone. The phone has a single punch-hole display with a 2400×1080 resolution and also supports a 90Hz refresh rate. It is not mentioned which display technology has been used. The display size is about 6.5 inches, and the whole dimension of the phone is about 163.2×75.1×7.9 and weighs about 178g. The bottom chin seems to be a bit thick.
The phone will be powered by an unannounced MediaTek MT6853V chipset, which has been leaked for a long time. According to the blogger, it may be the Dimensity 720 chipset. However, it seems to be an entry-level 5G chipset, which is expected to be announced soon.
The information about the battery and charging for the phone is also mentioned. The Oppo A72 has a 4040mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging. There is a triple camera module (16MP+8MP+2MP) with an LED flash in a square camera bump. On the front, there is a single camera of 8MP. The phone also has a side fingerprint scanner in the lock screen button.
The renders of the phone have a gradient color with a mixture of blue and red. Currently, the memory specifications are unknown. The device seems to be an entry-level 5G phone for up to $200.
