A few days ago, it was reported that all Chinese smartphone brands, including Xiaomi, OPPO, and Vivo, are now moving towards making foldable phones. The latest reports claim that we are very close to the launch of these foldable devices.
Recently, the famous Chinese blogger Digital Chat Station revealed that OPPO is working on its upcoming foldable phone, which is expected to debut in the second quarter of 2021. The blogger also said that the launch of this device will be more interesting than the OPPO Find X3 series.
Currently, only a few smartphone brands have launched foldable phones, and only one of them is Huawei. The Huawei Mate X2 is one of the best-selling foldable phones in the Chinese market.
The launch of foldable phones from these brands is expected to increase competition in the market, and prices may decrease. OPPO’s foldable phones are also expected to compete with Huawei and Samsung’s foldable phones.
In terms of innovation, OPPO has already introduced the world’s first extendable screen smartphone. Moreover, the company was also the first to introduce the water-fall display in the world.
Currently, the officials haven’t revealed any information regarding their upcoming foldable phones.
