Realme launched the affordable Realme GT Neo 3 in March 2022. Recently, there are reports that a successor to this lineup is also on the way.
According to well-known blogger Digital Chat Station, the Realme GT Neo 5 will have two battery options. The first BLP985 will be equipped with a 5000mAh dual-cell battery (2425mAh x 2) with a charging power of 150W. The second BLP987 will be equipped with a 4600mAh dual-cell battery (2225mAh x 2) with a charging power of 240W.
In many Chinese smartphone brands, we have seen that the number 4 always gets skipped, and now Realme is adopting the same trend for its GT Neo series’ successor and launching the 5th model after the 3rd one.
The blogger also revealed many other highlights, like its camera details. He said that the Realme GT Neo 5 would feature a Sony IMX890 OIS primary camera, which is more powerful and capable than the GT Neo 3 camera setup.
The blogger also replied to a user’s question, revealing that the upcoming Redmi K60 series would feature two different versions: one supports 67W charging, and another supports 120W fast charging.
It is worth mentioning that the Realme GT Neo 3 was powered by the Dimensity 8100 chipset. This lineup usually features sub-flagship chipsets, so the Realme GT Neo 5 would most probably be powered by the Dimensity 8200 sub-flagship chipset.
At the moment, there is no information regarding the launch of the Realme GT Neo 5. However, as per our expectations, the phone will be released in the first month of 2023.
