Redmi G Gaming Laptop to launch on August 14

Today, Redmi announced that it would launch its first gaming laptop, the Redmi G. This morning, the company took to its official WeChat account to advertise a gaming laptop.

In the poster for the upcoming product, the parts of the Redmi gaming notebook are spliced with the capital letter “G,” which may stand for gaming. The whole gaming notebook uses a black mecha design. The left, right, and upper sides of the screen are narrow, while the bottom frame is vast. There are huge dissipation holes on both sides of the fuselage. This all highlights its attributes as a gaming book.

The laptop will be launched at the Super Player Product Play Conference, which will be held at 14:00 on August 14.

The laptop is expected to be powered by a 10th-generation Core i5/i7 processor and a GTX1650Ti or higher graphics card. The screen refresh rate will be the mainstream 144Hz for gaming laptops. Xiaomi’s 15.6-inch gaming laptop from last year, which is powered by a Core i7 processor and a GeForce GTX2060 GPU, also featured a 144Hz refresh rate display.

Lu Weibing, general manager of the Redmi brand, said on Weibo that Redmi G will be priced at around CNY 5,000 (or $719) to allow young people to have their own gaming laptops.
