Yesterday, Redmi officially confirmed that the new gaming phone is coming at the end of April 2021. Moreover, the new gaming phone has already been leaked and rumors for a long time.
Recently, a Redmi phone with model M2104K10AC has been listed on the 3C certification. As per previous leaks, this model number belongs to Redmi’s upcoming gaming phone. The 3C certification has revealed the charging specifications of the Redmi gaming phone.
As can be seen, the new gaming phone will use a 67W (5-20V, 6.2-3.25A) charger with model number MDY-12-EF. The same charger has been used in the Mi 11 Ultra. The charger also supports charging in the following modes: 15W (5V, 3A).
It is also mentioned that the applicant for this certification is Xiaomi Communications Company Limited.
As per previous reports, the all-new Redmi gaming phone will be powered by the latest flagship from MediaTek, Dimensity 1200. The chipset is based on a 6nm manufacturing process. It consists 1x Ultra Cortex-A78 core (3GHz), 3x Super Cortex-A78 Cores (2.6GHz) and 4x Efficiency Cortex-A55 Cores (2GHz).
Some reports also claimed that this gaming phone would be equipped with Samsung’s E4 Material AMOLED screen with 144Hz refresh rate support. It will also be packed with a 5000mAh battery, which supports 67W fast charging. It would also feature a side fingerprint scanner as well.
Currently, the name of Redmi’s gaming phone has not been revealed by the officials. This phone’s launch will happen before the end of this month, April 2021 (as confirmed by the officials).
