Redmi K40 Gaming Edition will feature Dimensity 1200 chipset, AnTuTu scores revealed

It is known that Redmi is all set to launch the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition on April 27. Today, Redmi has officially confirmed that the K40 Gaming Edition will feature the MediaTek Dimensity 1200. The chipset is based on the leading 6nm chip design and provides a 25% better performance than the predecessor model.

It consists of 1x Ultra Cortex-A78 core, 3x Super Cortex-A78 core, and 4x Efficiency Cortex-A55 core. This leading design is fueled by powerful quad-channel memory and dual-channel UFS 3.1 storage.

Redmi has also revealed the AnTuTu Benchmark scores of the phone. It has scored a total of 724,495 points, which steadily guarantees the Redmi K40 new edition’s gaming experience.

Before the Redmi K40 series launch, it was reported that Redmi would also launch a version with Dimensity 1200, but now things are more clear that this would be the gaming edition of the Redmi K40 series.

Previously, we already reported that the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition would feature Samsung’s E4 AMOLED  punch-hole display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The display would have a small aperture like the standard Redmi K40, and the size of side bezels and bottom chins will also be shallow.

A 5000mAh battery will also power the phone, supporting 67W fast charging. The phone would be equipped with a side fingerprint scanner as well.

The upcoming Redmi K40 Gaming Edition will be announced on April 27 at 19:30 in an online event.
