Redmi K40 Gaming Edition will feature Dimensity 1200 chipset, AnTuTu scores revealed

Redmi is all set to launch the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition on April 27. Today, Redmi has officially confirmed that the K40 Gaming Edition will feature the MediaTek Dimensity 1200. The chipset is based on the leading 6nm chip design and provides 25% better performance than the predecessor.

The chipset consists of one Cortex-A78 core, three Cortex-A78 cores, and four Cortex-A55 cores. This leading design is fueled by powerful quad-channel memory and dual-channel UFS 3.1 storage.

Redmi has also revealed the phone’s AnTuTu Benchmark scores. It has scored 724,495 points, which steadily guarantees the Redmi K40 new edition’s gaming experience.

Before the launch of the Redmi K40 series, it was reported that Redmi would also launch a version with Dimensity 1200, but now it is clearer that this would be the gaming edition of the Redmi K40 series.

We already reported that the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition would feature Samsung’s E4 AMOLED punch-hole display with a 144Hz refresh rate. Like the Redmi K40, the display would have a small aperture, and the size of the side bezels and bottom chins would also be shallow.

The phone will also have a 5000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. It will come with a side fingerprint scanner.

The upcoming Redmi K40 Gaming Edition will be announced on April 27 at 19:30 in an online event.
