Lu Weibing has announced that Redmi will launch the new Redmi K40 series next month. He also said that the K40 series will be equipped with a straight screen, which may be the most expensive in the industry.
It is reported that the Redmi K40 series will still bring high-end and low-end variants this time, namely the Redmi K40 and Redmi K40 Pro.
This morning, well-known blogger Digital Chat Station revealed that both variants are equipped with an OLED screen, and both use Samsung’s latest E4 flexible screen.
The Xiaomi Mi 11 also uses the Samsung E4 OLED screen. Samsung’s E4 luminous material can significantly increase the screen brightness to an unprecedented 1500nits, and the global maximum brightness is also up to 900nits. The contrast ratio can also be improved, and the power consumption is lower than the E3 material.
The Xiaomi Mi 11’s screen made of this new material also received a DisplayMate A+ rating. It broke 13 records, including the highest resolution, highest OLED peak brightness, highest color accuracy, highest contrast, and lowest screen reflectivity.
In addition, the Redmi K40 Pro will be equipped with the Snapdragon 888 processor, and the K40 will be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870. Compared with the Snapdragon 865 Plus, the performance of the Snapdragon 870 has been improved again, and the Antutu score surpassed the Snapdragon 865 Plus.
