This afternoon, Redmi officially revealed that the upcoming Redmi K50 Gaming Edition will feature a 4700mAh bigger battery and support 120W super fast charging. Previously, the famous blogger Digital Chat Station also revealed that the first batch of Snapdragon 8 Gen1 devices would be limited to 120W charging only.
As you can see in the official teaser image, the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition’s charging cable may differ in design and appearance. The charging jack is placed on a pill-shaped charging module, which may help avoid damage to the charging cable.
Previously, it was also revealed that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 would be the main highlight of this gaming phone. The chipset is based on the latest 4nm manufacturing process and features the Cortex-X2 super core, X65 5G modem, and Adreno 730 GPU.
Moreover, the main aspects of appearance, like the camera arrangement and gaming triggers/buttons, will feature the same aesthetics as its predecessor. The Redmi K50 Gaming Edition will be launched on February 16th at 7 pm (CST).
