Redmi’s first gaming phone will be unveiled at the end of April

For a long time now, there have been rumors that Redmi is planning to launch its first gaming phone. Moreover, the previously launched Redmi K40 series also had some gaming-type accessories, and the officials said that the device is perfect for gaming purposes.

This morning, Redmi officially revealed on its official Weibo account that the company has entered the gaming industry for the first time. Before this, another Xiaomi sub-brand, Black Shark, manufactured gaming phones and accessories.

The officials have mentioned that the first gaming phone will be released at the end of this month. The new gaming phone is positioned as a gaming phone.

The device will also promote the ultimate cost-effective game phone and officially sign a strategic co-operation agreement with Call of Duty Mobile Games.

It is reported that the Redmi gaming phone has already been spotted on many certification sites, equipped with MediaTek’s Dimensity 1200 chipset, having a model number M2104K10C with developed code-named Ares, with e-sports design elements. It is also equipped with various game-oriented details and functions and is also compatible with mainstream games.

Some leaks suggested that the Redmi Gaming Phone will feature the Dimensity 1200 chipset, a 5000mAh battery, support 65W fast charging, and use a Samsung’s E4 material AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. The side fingerprint scanner would also be there.

The Dimensity 1200 is the world’s first 6nm smartphone chipset based on TMSC design. It consists of one Ultra Cortex-A78 core at 3GHz, three Cortex-A78 cores at 2.6GHz, and four Cortex-A55 cores at 2GHz.
