A few days ago, ASUS officially confirmed that a new smartphone is coming, but they didn’t reveal any more details. It seems like the company is planning to launch a new generation of its gaming smartphone.
Today, Chinese Digital Blogger WHYLAB has revealed a live image of the new ROG gaming smartphone. The live image shows that the device has an almost similar appearance to the ROG phone 3. That’s why it can be concluded that this is a new ROG Gaming phone.
The live image shows that the number 5 is also mentioned, which points out that ASUS will skip the ROG Gaming Phone 4 and launch the ROG Phone 5 as some smartphone manufacturers have done in the past.
It is observed that the ROG Branding logo has been moved to the lower left of the back. There is a triple camera setup as well, like the ROG phone 3 with a primary 64MP camera. A red button in the lower right corner of the fuselage is also there (maybe used for entering gaming mode with a one-click button).
Some leaks also confirmed that the device would support a 6000mAh Battery with 65W fast charging. Moreover, an ROG phone with model number I005DA was also spotted on Geekbench with a Snapdragon 888 5G chipset. The phone seems to be the upcoming ROG Phone 5.
At the moment, the exact release date of this phone has not been officially revealed.
