ASUS is reportedly working on a successor to its current gaming phone. Some reports have suggested that the phone will be named ROG Phone 5.
Today, the officials have announced that the phone will be named ROG Phone 5. The naming of upcoming gaming will skip the number 4. The latest device from ROG Phone is named ROG Phone 3.
Previously, the device’s live images were also revealed, which showed that this new gaming phone’s design would remain almost the same.
The ROG Phone 5 will feature a 6.78-inch OLED Display with Full HD+ resolution. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset will also power this gaming phone.
The Snapdragon 888 is an octa-core chipset based on a 5nm manufacturing process. It also features a Cortex-X1 core at 2.84GHz, significantly improving its performance compared with previous chipsets.
A 6000mAh dual battery (3000mAh x2) is also expected to be installed inside the phone, which further supports fast wired charging up to 65W.
The officials have not yet announced the launch date of the upcoming ASUS ROG Phone 5, but it is expected soon.
