There were many rumors in the past that Samsung was working on the new generation of its Galaxy Buds series. But no suggested name has been revealed until now. Today, it is unofficially confirmed that the new generation of Galaxy Buds is on the way.
Recently, a new Galaxy Buds with the model number SM-R177 was listed on the FCC certification with images. According to reports, the new Buds will be named Galaxy Buds 2. The leaked images reveal the first look of the new buds.
As can be seen, the design of Galaxy Buds 2 is almost the same as the old models (including Galaxy Buds Live and Galaxy Buds Pro). It can also be concluded that these new Buds can easily fit into the charging case of the previous model as they have the same design.
The labeling image also mentions the battery capacities of Galaxy Buds 2 and its cradle. Both EarBuds have a 120mAh battery capacity, while the charging case is equipped with a 500mAh Battery. It has been observed that both of them have smaller battery capacity than the Galaxy Buds+.
That’s why we can expect a shorter music play/call time in the new Buds 2 compared to Galaxy Buds+. Moreover, the famous Chinese blogger IceUniverse claims that the new Buds will have better sound quality and still feature active noise reduction.
Samsung’s new Galaxy Buds 2 is expected to be released at the same event as the company unveils the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Flip3, which are expected to launch on August 3.
