Samsung will launch a new budget smartphone called Galaxy M04. Its support page is already live on the official Samsung India website. This device has also appeared on Geekbench and Bluetooth certification and received an NBTC certification.
The official support page on the Samsung India website gives the smartphone’s model number as SM-M045F/DS, but it doesn’t reveal much about the features, design, hardware, software, or price. With the support page going live, we expect the device to be available to everyone soon.
Today, the device appeared on Google Play Console, and the listing reveals some of the device’s specifications, including the render, processor, screen, memory, operating system, and more.
According to the Google Play Console listing, the Samsung Galaxy M04 will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6765 (Helio G35) chipset. The chipset is a 12nm chip with four Cortex-A53 cores at 2.3GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores at 1.8GHz, a PowerVR GE83200 GPU, and a built-in 4G modem. It also offers 3GB RAM, but no internal storage was revealed.
The Samsung Galaxy M04 has a screen with a resolution of 720×1600, but the size of the screen was not revealed. There is a waterdrop notch in the center of the screen for the front-facing camera, the device runs Android 12 out of the box, and it is likely to be OneUI Core 4.1.
There are rumors that the Samsung Galaxy M04 is a rebranded Galaxy A04e that will come with a 6.5-inch LCD. It may have a dual rear camera setup which contains a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. It will have a 5MP front-facing camera in the water drop notch of the screen.
