Samsung is reportedly about to begin production of its upcoming foldable phone. It is also suggested that the company may abandon the successor to the Note series. Some of the latest news about the Fold3 has been revealed recently.
Today, the battery capacity of the upcoming Galaxy Fold3 has been revealed on the 3C certification. The phone will feature a total 4275mAh dual battery (2215mAh+2060mAh), which is lower than the Galaxy Z Fold2.
Reports suggest that the reason behind the lower capacity might be the new form structure, which would compress the internal space of the Galaxy Z Fold3. The battery life is also expected to have an effect.
UPDATE: According to the famous blogger Ice Universe, the Galaxy Z Fold3 will be powered by a Snapdragon 888 chipset and 13g lighter than the Galaxy Z Fold2.
Previously, it was also reported that the Galaxy Z Fold3 has the model number SM-F926. The device will also be dust and water-resistant, but the IP rating is currently unknown.
Some leakers claim that the Z Fold3 will feature a Snapdragon chipset instead of a Samsung Exynos chipset. The Z Fold2 is also powered by a Snapdragon 865+ chipset.
The Galaxy Z Fold3 is expected to launch in July along with Samsung’s Z Flip3. The price of both models might reach $2000. Moreover, Samsung will not release any other folding-screen phone this year.
