Yesterday, we reported that the upcoming Honor 50 will feature a model equipped with chipset sm7325. Previous reports claimed that it would be the Snapdragon 775 or Snapdragon 775G, but recent reports suggest something new.
The famous Chinese blogger Digitalhattation has revealed that the SM7325 will be named Snapdragon 778G. The chipset is expected to be featured on the Honor 50.
The blogger also said that the Snapdragon 778G will be based on a new 6nm manufacturing process. It would consist of Cortex-A78 semi-custom (Kyro 670) cores. The GPU would be Adreno 642L, which seems to be a lower version of the Adreno 642 GPU.
The chipset also has a Snapdragon X53 5G Modem, which has a maximum speed of 3.3Gbps. It has a Qualcomm Spectra 570L ISP, which again seems to be a lower version of the standard Spectra 570.
The chipset also features the FastConnect 6700 subsystem, which supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 and other characteristics, such as the Quick Charge 5 Protocol up to 100W for fast charging.
The all-new chipset is expected to debut with the Honor 50 Series, which is expected to launch in June 2021.
