Snapdragon 888+ To Coming In The Second Half Of 2021

A few days ago, Qualcomm launched its Snapdragon 888 5G, which is based on a 5nm manufacturing process. For the first time, the chipset features a Cortex-X1 super core.

The company seems to be working on its next chipset, which is expected to be an overclocked version of its latest chipset. As usual, it will be named Snapdragon 888+.

The famous Chinese blogger Digital Chat Station has revealed that the Snapdragon 888+ chipset is scheduled to launch in the second half of 2021, possibly in June or July.

He also mentioned that Qualcomm had written the highest frequency (of Snapdragon 888) to 840MHz to prevent manufacturers from secretly overclocking.

The Snapdragon 888 5G consists of eight cores: one Cortex-X1 Super at 2.84GHz, three Cortex-A78 performance cores at 2.42GHz, and four Cortex-A55 energy-efficient cores at 1.8GHz. The highest frequency is expected to be increased to 3.1GHz.

The highest frequency in the Snapdragon 865 series was increased from 2.84GHz to 3.1GHz in Snapdragon 865+, and the same is expected this year.
