Last month, Tecno officially introduced the Pova 6 Pro. The smartphone is in the mid-range segment and is powered by a Dimensity 6080 chipset. The latest industry information indicates that the company is looking forward to releasing another device in this lineup.
This morning, the Google Play Console listed a new smartphone, the Tecno Pova 6 Neo (model number TECNO-LI6). It is expected to be the second Tecno Pova 6 series device.
The listing mentions that it would be powered by MediaTek’s chipset, which has the following model number: MT6789V/CD. The chipset is the Helio G99, based on a 6nm manufacturing process. It consists of two Cortex-A76 P-cores at 2.2GHz and six Cortex-A55 E-cores at 2.0GHz. The CPU also integrates a Mali-G57 GPU.
The smartphone features a single punch-hole display, potentially using AMOLED technology. Typically, smartphones with LCDs incorporate side-button integrated fingerprint sensors, but this phone seems to lack such a button. It may instead utilize an under-display fingerprint scanner, a standard feature found in AMOLED displays.
The certification mentions that this display supports 2460×1080 resolution and supports 480 DPI. It also mentions that the smartphone has 8GB RAM and runs the latest Android 14 OS.
Currently, there is no more information regarding the Tecno Pova 6 Neo. However, the company is expected to announce it officially in the coming days.
