This morning, Vivo officially announced that the Vivo S16 series will be launched on December 22 at 7 PM. The company also mentioned the teaser that constantly promotes the word “S16” in the official announcement.
Vivo’s China site revealed all three devices in the Vivo S16 lineup and showed some of their specifications.
The Vivo S16e will be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 1080 chipset, the Vivo S16 will be powered by Snapdragon 870 sub-flagship chipset, and the S16 Pro will be powered by Mediatek Dimensity 8200, another sub-flagship chipset which got recently revealed.
All three models of the Vivo S16 series will feature a single punch display in the center and a new Cyan color scheme. The entire Vivo S16 series has a 50-megapixel front-facing camera with portrait focus support.
The vivo S16 series has an OIS outsole primary camera lens on the back. vivo has developed a new Soft Light Portrait algorithm for its vivo S16 series.
Further, a better battery life and large storage option would also be the main highlight of this lineup. The entire series will support 80W fast charging. The Vivo S16 will have an 8+256GB storage version, while the S16 Pro has 12+256GB and 12+512GB storage versions.
Vivo is expected to start revealing the significant highlights of its Vivo S16 series in the coming days before the launch event on December 22.
