We saw that Vivo‘s upcoming S18 series was revealed in the past few days. However, the company has not made any official announcement until now.
This morning, Vivo officially announced that the Vivo S18 lineup will be launched on December 14. The official poster also revealed the camera design layout of the Vivo S18 Pro.
The Vivo S18 Pro adopts a triple camera setup in a square module. Under the camera module, there is a bump for a ring-shaped LED Flash. A few moments after the official announcement, the Vivo general Manager also revealed the specifications of the Vivo S18 series.
According to the General Manager, the Vivo S18 Pro will be powered by the Dimensity 9200+ chipset. This phone has also scored more than 1.6 million points on the AnTuTu benchmark, denoting that the performance factor would be great on the Vivo S18 Pro.
This phone will feature the same 50MP Sony IMX920 lens, a 50MP Ultra-Wide lens, and the same telephoto lens used in the Vivo X90s. In the front-facing camera section, the officials have used a dual camera setup, including a 50MP wide-angle lens.
The Vivo S18 will be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, which was announced in November 2023. The chipset belongs to the premium mid-range segment and has also scored more than 1 million points on the AnTuTu benchmark.
In the end, the General Manager also mentioned that the Vivo S18 series would feature a 120Hz display and a 5000mAh battery. It is also reported that the phone would be the thinnest model of 2023 with more than 5000mAh battery.
Vivo is expected to officially tease more highlights of its Vivo S18 series in the coming days.
