This evening, a new device with model number 2210132C was listed on 3C certification. According to the IMEI database, the model number belongs to the upcoming Xiaomi 13 Pro, which would support a maximum of 120W charging, as mentioned in the certification.
The certification also revealed that the Xiaomi 13 Pro would use two different chargers with different model numbers: MDY-14-ED and MDY-12-ED. However, both chargers support a maximum of 120W charging at 20V/6A.
It is also worth mentioning that consumers will be required to buy this charger separately, as Xiaomi has eliminated it from the smartphone’s retail box.
According to previous news, the Xiaomi 13 series will be powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which is expected to be announced at the Qualcomm 2022 Summit in November. The Xiaomi 13 series will be among the first batch of devices equipped with this chipset.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 would be a significant upgrade over its predecessor chipsets. It will feature a total of eight cores, including one Cortex-X2 super core, one Cortex-A720 core, three Cortex-A710 cores, and three Cortex-A510 cores.
As the new Xiaomi 13 series is getting listed on certification sites, we expect it to be released soon (maybe in two to three months).
