Yesterday, Xiaomi officially revealed that they would launch the Mi 11 series on December 28. As the time approaches, more highlights about this phone are officially revealed by Xiaomi
This morning, the company officially confirmed that the Xiaomi Mi 11 series would feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G. The Mi 11 will be the first to feature this chipset.
The company mentions in its official post that “it’s like entering a no man’s land full of treasures.” This is accurate as there are no phones with this chipset on the market yet. Hence, this smartphone may not have any competitors for a while. However, many other companies are now planning to use this chipset in their smartphones.
The Snapdragon 888 5G is an octa-core chipset based on a 5nm manufacturing process. The chipset consists of one Cortex-X1 super core at 2.84GHz, three Cortex-A78 cores at 2.42GHz, and four Cortex-A55 energy-efficient cores at 1.8GHz. It also features an Adreno 660 GPU.
The phone was also spotted on Geekbench, and it scored around 1.1k points on single-core, while on multi-cores, it scored 3.6k points. The scores are excellent compared with previous models.
As previously reported, the Mi 11 series is expected to feature a hyperboloid curved screen. The Mi 11 Pro is also expected to feature a 2K resolution display. All the Mi 11 series models would feature a 120Hz refresh rate and 10-bit color depth in the display.
The live photos of the Xiaomi Mi 11 have been released on the internet. As you can see from the photos, the device features a triple rear camera setup with a square design, two large sensors, and one small sensor above the LED lights.
