Today, Xiaomi has unexpectedly released the rendering of the Xiaomi Mi 5X on its official website. The smartphone has been confirmed to be launched together with the MIUI 9 on July 26 at Beijing’s China National Convention Center.
From the images, the Mi 5X’s front appearance design is similar to the Xiaomi Max 2. The smartphone comes with dual parallel cameras on the back. It adopts a fingerprint reader on the back, and its antenna layout is similar to the iPhone 7 Plus. The phone provides three color options, including pink, gold, and black. Undoubtedly, the black variant will be the most popular because the smartphone has the most outstanding visual effects.
It is rumored to feature a 5.5-inch 1080p touchscreen and come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of ROM. The phone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 processor and come with a dual-rear camera setup that has adopted a wide angle+ telephoto scheme. It is priced at CNY 1,999 (approximately $298).
It is rumored that the Xiaomi Mi 5X will get excellent offline sales scores if the smartphone has no supply problems.
