This morning, the famous blogger Digital Chat Station revealed the major specifications of the upcoming Xiaomi Mix Fold 3. The blogger has seen the model’s prototype device, though it has been observed that the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 will adopt a foldable screen with water-drop hinges. At the same time, the device features a curved glass body which is still thin and lightweight.
The Mix Fold 3 will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which is Qualcomm’s best chipset for Android smartphones. The chipset is based on TSMC’s 2nd-generation 4nm manufacturing process and features the Cortex-X3 super core at 3.2GHz, Snapdragon X70 Modem, and Adreno 740 GPU.
The Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 features a quad camera setup with a 5x periscopic telephoto lens. In addition, the camera also supports 3.2x portrait center focus. It is worth mentioning that this is Xiaomi’s first device to feature a periscopic lens.
Compared with previous telephoto lenses, its most significant advantage is that they allow mobile phones to capture far scenes and bring better optical zoom effects. The blogger also reported that the Mi Mix Fold 3 will support 67W fast wired and 50W fast wireless charging. Moreover, the device’s communication capability would also be enhanced.
At the moment, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 is expected to debut in August. In the same month, Samsung is also expected to reveal its new foldable series.
