Last month, the Xiaomi Redmi 5A has been spotted on TENAA. This afternoon, Xiaomi has launched the phone.
The Redmi 5A adopts an engineering plastic body on the back and a completely symmetrical design on the front. It provides champagne, pink and gray three color options.
The phone features a 5-inch touchscreen and is powered by the quad-core 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor. The Snapdragon 425 chip’s GPU is Adreno 308, and it has an X6 LTE baseband. Its download speed reaches up to 150 Mbps.
The 5A features the F/2.0 5MP front shooter for selfies and the F/2.2 13MP camera on the rear, which supports PDAF technology. The smartphone comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of ROM. It has a 3,000mAh battery, which can support eight days when it is in standby condition.
It is priced at CNY 599 (approximately $91). The phone will be on sale at 6:00 pm today and be officially on sale at 10:00 am, October 20, on Mi.com, Xiaomi Fans Club, JD.COM, Tmall, Suning, and some official offline channels.
