Recently, a new Xiaomi smartphone called MCT3B was spotted on TENAA. The phone is expected to be the Xiaomi Redmi 5A.
The Redmi 5A looks like the small version of the Redmi Note 5A, but it adopts a three-stage design on the back. The 5A doesn’t come with a fingerprint reader function. The phone measures 14.44×70.14×8.35mm, and it weighs 137.0 g. It provides black, rose gold, gold, white, blue, red, pink, gray, and silver color options.
The phone features a 5.0-inch 720 p touchscreen with a resolution of 1280 pixels by 720 pixels and is powered by a quad-core 1.4GHz processor (probably Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor). It comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of ROM. The phone features a 5MP front shooter for selfies and a 13MP rear camera. It runs on Android 7.1.2 and packs a 3,000mAh battery.
At present, the Xiaomi Redmi 4A 2GB+16GB variant is priced at CNY 599 (approximately $$89). So, the Redmi 5A is estimated to be priced starting from CNY 599.
