Xiaomi will launch a self-developed chip on March 29

Xiaomi has announced that many products will be launched at the upcoming spring season product launch event. Today, the officials have teased another product from the upcoming event.

Today, the company officially warmed up and will launch a new self-developed chip at the upcoming event on March 29. The purpose of this self-developed chipset has not been revealed yet, but rumors are claiming that it might be the second generation of the Surging chip.

As per our sources, this would be an ISP (Image Signal Processor) chip. Xiaomi has already announced that the upcoming Mi Mix will feature the company’s own liquid lens, so we can conclude that the self-developed chip is an ISP.

The purpose of an ISP is to process images in digital cameras or other image-capturing devices like smartphones.

It is already known that Xiaomi will bring its new Mi Mix series to the upcoming event on March 29, and the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro and Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra will also be announced.

All the upcoming devices are expected to feature the latest Snapdragon 888. The SoC is an octa-core chipset based on a 5nm manufacturing process.

For complete information regarding the upcoming self-developed chip from Xiaomi, we have to wait until March 29.
