Compared with the previous two generations, Xiaomi’s third-generation under-screen camera solution has a more perfect display and Selfie effect, allowing the under-screen camera technology to truly achieve a mass production level that meets the Xiaomi standard.

It is reported that Xiaomi’s third-generation under-screen camera adopts a new self-developed pixel arrangement, allowing the screen to transmit light through the sub-pixel gap area. That is, each unit pixel still retains a complete RGB sub-pixel display without sacrificing pixel density.

Compared with the ordinary solutions on the market, the display area of ​​the Xiaomi third-generation screen camera has doubled the number of pixels in both horizontal and vertical directions, achieving the same pixel density and display accuracy as the normal display area. It has achieved the same brightness, color accuracy, and color gamut.

The official emphasized that on the basis of the new pixel arrangement scheme, Xiaomi’s third-generation under-screen camera redesigned the pixel drive circuit to further improve the light transmittance of the under-screen camera area. Combined with Xiaomi’s self-developed camera optimization algorithm, it achieves almost the same imaging effect as a traditional front camera.
